Delete your HairStyle AI account
You can permanently delete your HairStyle AI account and all associated data at any time. Choose whichever method below is easier for you.
Option 1 — In the app
- Open the HairStyle AI app on your phone.
- Tap the Settings tab at the bottom.
- Tap Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. The action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your account, photos, and saved styles are removed immediately.
Option 2 — Email request
Send an email to privacy@myhairstyleai.com from the email address on your HairStyle AI account, with the subject line:
Delete my account
We will confirm deletion within 30 days. Use this option if you cannot access the app for any reason.
Just want to delete some data — not your whole account?
You can remove specific items inside the app without deleting your account:
- Delete a saved style: open Saved → tap a style → tap the trash icon.
- Delete your uploaded photo: open Settings → Privacy → Clear my photos.
- Reset preferences: Settings → Reset onboarding answers.
Or email privacy@myhairstyleai.com and tell us exactly what you would like removed.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Permanently deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, password hash)
- All photos you have uploaded
- All AI-generated hairstyle previews
- Your saved styles library
- Your style preferences and onboarding answers
- App settings and personalization
Active records are removed immediately. Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
Retained for legal and accounting reasons
- Anonymized payment and subscription records (kept for up to 7 years as required by tax and consumer- protection law). These are de-linked from your identity.
- Aggregated, anonymized usage analytics that cannot be tied back to you.
- Records required to demonstrate compliance with deletion requests (e.g., the timestamp of your request, kept for up to 2 years).
